Father of Sandra Birchmore’s Unborn Baby Testifies in Farwell Trial

A U.S. Army sergeant who admitted to having an affair with Sandra Birchmore a violation of the military s uniform code of conduct testified Thursday that he encouraged her to report Matthew Farwell for allegedly sexually abusing her when she was a minor and became concerned for her safety because of the Stoughton police detective s erratic behavior. Jason Pickard, 37, was entered into a federal immunity agreement with prosecutors in Boston in 2025 after the FBI swabbed his cheek to collect DNA as part of its investigation into the death of Birchmore.
